I already have Office apps on my desktop, so why should I buy Microsoft 365 from GoDaddy?

The latest Office apps — Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access (PC only), OneNote and Publisher — are included with Advanced Security and Business Professional. You’ll always have the latest version of Office apps at no extra charge since they will constantly be updated automatically. 

OneDrive for Business and Online Office apps are included in our Microsoft 365 plans for sharing and collaborating on documents. In addition to creating domain-based email addresses, Online Business Essentials and Business Professional allow you to share calendars and contacts. In addition, Microsoft 365 from GoDaddy provides real-time screen sharing and meetings.

Does the Advanced Security or Business Professional plan allow me to simultaneously install Office on five computers?

With the Advanced Security or Business Professional plans, desktop Office app licenses are tied to an individual’s account, including their login information and password. Employees could access your documents if they downloaded a copy.  

 

 Anyone in your organization who requires the latest desktop version of Office apps should have a Business Professional or Advanced Security account. 

What are the chances of my Excel, PowerPoint, and Word programs working with my cloud storage and Office Online?

Instead of Office Online, you can edit files stored in the cloud using your desktop applications with OneDrive for Business Professional and Office Online with Microsoft 365’s latest version. Microsoft 365’s latest version works best with these versions of Office apps. To edit a document, click ‘Edit in Word/Excel/PowerPoint’, then click ‘Save’ in those applications to return it to your storage. Does my computer work with the latest Office apps?

To use the desktop downloads in Advanced Security or Business Professional, your PC needs Windows 11/10/8.1 or Windows Server 2019/2016. Mac users need the current macOS and the previous two versions. For other operating systems, use Office Online, with browser-based versions of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint included in Online Business Essentials and Business Professional plans.

Does Microsoft 365 work for me as part of a larger organization?

Office Online offers web-based versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote accessible from a browser. You can create and edit files and collaborate online with colleagues or clients. You can also access your cloud storage to share files and work in real time.

What is online document collaboration?

Our plans allow multiple users to edit documents in OneDrive for Business simultaneously. You can keep track of each other’s changes, ensuring everyone has the latest version of the document. It simplifies collaboration by eliminating the need to send files via email.
