Domain Backorder

What happens after I backorder a domain?

Domain Backorder is services that attempt to acquire a currently registered domain when it becomes available for registration. Backorders don’t guarantee domain acquisition. The current registrant might renew the domain, or we might fail to capture it for you.

  1. Backorder a domain and set it up. Only one person can place a backorder on a domain.
  2. Monitor the domain to be notified of changes to the registrar, status, expiration date or nameservers.
  3. We Host 4 u attempts to capture the domain: We’ll attempt to acquire the domain via backorder after the registry releases the domain on its available date. We’ll continue attempting until we or another registrar captures the domain.
    • If we successfully capture the domain, we’ll move it into your account within 45 days with a one year registration.
    • If you didn’t win, you can apply the backorder credit to another domain name or keep the backorder on the same domain to try again the next time it expires.
